About: The Sydney Comics Guild

The Sydney Comics Guild is a group of people who love comics.

The SCG formed in 2012 and our members include professional artists working in comics and other fields such as graphic design or illustration, as well as writers and comics enthusiasts.

The SCG hosts bimonthly comics workshops on a range of topics, such as how to use Manga Studio for digital art, writing scripts for comic art collaboration and character design.  Apart from the bimonthly social meetups, we also highlight many opportunities through our website, ranging from residencies for comic artists, exhibitions and creative workspaces and awards.

Our members’ directory makes the details of our work accessible to schools, librarians and other organisations who search for artists and writer to run workshops.

Our office is located on Blackfriars Street, Chippendale near Central station.

The SCG would love to help you tell your story through comic art and welcomes enquiries:

SydneyComicsGuild@gmail.com.
