Abundance in Chinatown

53 x 43 x 3 cmColoured pencils and gouache watercolour on 100% cotton rag paper

This artwork, inspired by the Chinese New Year greeting Nian Nian You Yu (年年有余), takes place in Sydney's Chinatown. The three playful koi fish represent abundance, prosperity, and growth as they swim through a flowing stream down Chinatown. Their movement embodies a heartfelt wish for the abundance of opportunities for Sydney’s Chinatown community.
