Lady with the Peach - Rita Gu 顧瑞吉

I've loved drawing since I was a child, though I never studied formally with a teacher. I taught painting at school and in a residential community, where I particularly enjoyed working on "Gongbi" paintings. This piece is a copy of a Dunhuang mural by the renowned Zhang Daqian 张大千, considered one of the greatest Chinese artists of the past 500 years. Painting in his style was challenging, but I completed five versions, and this one won Second Place in the Shanghai Street Art Show.
