Chicks & Lychee - May Chen

In mid-2023, I attended a weekly Chinese painting class at the local community centre and thoroughly enjoyed it. My painting depicts mother and father birds taking their baby chick to play around a lychee branch, their necks extended as they salivate, imagining how delicious the southern fruit would taste. The artwork captures my innocent and romantic mood at the time.
