Couplet Composed from the San Shi Pan Inscription - 《散氏盘》铭文集联 · - Mao Qiao Wen

This pair of scrolls brings together characters drawn from the inscription on the San Shi Pan, an ancient bronze vessel. The large characters retain the varied shapes of bronze inscription writing, while the smaller notes along each side add a second rhythm. Look at the two scrolls together: their bold central lines form a pair, but no two characters have quite the same shape or weight.
