This artwork celebrates the Transgender community by selecting colours from the Transgender Pride flag, and using them to inspire the painting. Dahlias and peonies have been painted in the white and pink of the flag and the aqua blue inverted triangle make the background of the work. The triangle shape, originally a symbol of shame and oppression, represents queer liberation and a positive symbol of self identity.
