The bride-to-be is wearing her traditional heavily adorned headpiece called the Fengguan. (Chinese: 鳳冠; pinyin: fèngguān). This traditional Chinese headgear was worn mainly by noblewomen during the Ming dynasty for ceremonies or official occasions. It is also traditional headgear for brides.
